I am regional Director for AON Asia. With 20 years of insurance industry experience, I am a strategic risk consultant dedicated to helping corporations identify, evaluate, and mitigate physical and financial threats. Understanding that risk is ever-present, I focus on delivering tailored risk transfer and avoidance strategies to minimize client exposure as close to zero as possible.
What makes you a Risky Woman?
I am deeply passionate about advancing and empowering women within the risk industry. I thrive on connecting with individuals across diverse cultures, backgrounds, and sectors to spark innovative ideas and co-create smarter solutions for risk control and management.
Name your top 3 achievements
- Strategic Resiliency & Academic Merit: Secured a highly competitive full scholarship for my postgraduate studies, allowing me to advance my education while concurrently working. This early success validated my belief in the power of having a strategic “Plan B” and proved that flexibility is key to long-term success.
- Unprecedented Challenges: Navigated the compounding challenges of a demanding career period, maternity leave, and the disruptions of COVID-19. By refusing to step away from the table during times of intense pressure, I proved that resilience and grit ultimately pave the way for long-term career longevity.
- An Uncompromising Standard of Excellence: Driven by an innate commitment to high performance, I consistently reject the status quo of “good enough.” My benchmark for success is defined purely by whether I have exhausted every avenue to deliver the absolute best possible outcome for my clients and organization.
What is the biggest risk you’ve taken in your career?
While I constantly push myself to expand my limits, I believe in calculated growth rather than reckless risk. Whether navigating a career pivot or managing a major international relocation for my family, every bold move I make is backed by meticulous preparation. Because I mitigate risk so effectively, I realize I have room to stretch my boundaries even further and take on even more ambitious, high-impact challenges ahead.
What’s something most people don’t know about you?
To balance the analytical rigor of the risk management world, I immerse myself in the tactile art of crafting. Beyond handmade hair accessories, I am a passionate sewist, using my sewing machine to design and create custom dresses, trousers, and skirts. Nurturing these creative hobbies brings a warm, grounded energy that perfectly counterbalances my professional life.
What is the best quality for successful leaders in Risk?
In the world of risk, honesty is the foundational currency. True mitigation requires absolute transparency—with yourself, your partners, and your consultants. It demands the intellectual humility to openly acknowledge what you know and, more importantly, what you don’t yet know. Only by facing reality with radical honesty can we genuinely explore the innovative solutions needed to navigate the uncertainties that lie ahead.
