I managed to embed compliance in my organization by proactively being part of team meetings, training staff on compliance and generally walking up to staff and demystifying what is compliance and the role it plays in the organisation.

What is the biggest risk you’ve taken in your career?

Changing careers from a purely audit background to pursue my passion in Risk management & compliance and be willing to take pay cuts to achieve this.

What’s something most people don’t know about you?

I have a lot of empathy towards people and animals. A single bad thing happening – even to a stranger – makes me feel like it has happened to me. However, I wear a serious face.
