Michele L. Turner has roughly 30 years experience in the areas of Governance, Risk, and Compliance, with a Masters of Science degree in Business Continuity (BC) from Norwich University. She is the Head of Global Business Resiliency for Amazon Corporate, which encompasses BC, Crisis Management, and Workplace Resiliency.

A Risky Woman has the opportunity to check around corners, see emerging risks and be able to identify controls to mitigate the situation as needed. I thrive on digging in to situations to identify the challenge and turn it in to an opportunity. Applying expertise to understand emerging risks, and manage to strategic growth.

What is the biggest risk you’ve taken in your career?
The biggest risk that I’ve taken was to leave an organization that I had excelled in and was very comfortable with for 10 years, to take on a role at another organization where I needed to learn a new corporate culture, and build a global, consistent, and streamlined continuity framework.
What’s something most people don’t know about you?
I taught English in a French orphanage in Guadeloupe, French West Indies.

A sense of curiosity leveraged to see around corners, identifying challenges and driving to opportunities.
