What makes you a Risky Woman?
I am a problem solver who operates globally, navigating cultures and regulations while challenging conventions. I connect ideas, think several steps ahead, and dive into detail. I am strategic, focusing on long-term value over quick wins, and I assess risk from multiple perspectives to make balanced, forward-looking decisions.
Name your top 3 achievements
- Appointment as Chief Operating Officer
My appointment as Chief Operating Officer for Kroll’s global Restructuring business reflects both the growth of the practice and the increasing need for a coordinated, high-performing global platform. I am focused on scaling the business across key markets, strengthening connectivity between regions, and driving consistent and compliant delivery standards. A key priority is translating strategy into execution, ensuring our teams are aligned, our resources are deployed effectively, and the business continues to grow in a disciplined and sustainable way. - Mentoring and championing women in leadership
For the past ten years I have volunteered time to mentor and coach the next generation of female leaders. I contribute to fostering an inclusive culture where diverse leadership styles are valued and where women can build long-term, successful careers in what has traditionally been male-dominated fields. - Raising my son
My proudest and most important achievement is raising my son, who is kind, curious, and full of energy. He reminds me daily of the importance of perspective, empathy, and patience.
What is the biggest risk you’ve taken in your career?
Relocating to New York for a global role because it meant leaving the security and comfort of life in Australia for an unknown market, resetting credibility, and proving my value at a global level without local experience, relationships, or context, all under intense pressure to deliver quickly.
What’s something most people don’t know about you?
I once trained assistance dogs, enabling people to maintain their independence. It taught me to really appreciate what we have and never take small, everyday freedoms for granted.
What is the best quality for successful leaders in Risk?
I believe judgement is a key quality for successful leaders in Risk. The ability to read a situation, assess the facts, and make decisions where the stakes are high is critical. Strong leaders balance risk and opportunity, stay objective under pressure, and know when to challenge, escalate, or act.
It is this combination of insight, perspective, and decisiveness that builds trust and delivers outcomes. In today’s environment, particularly with the growing use of AI, human judgment and an understanding of behaviour are becoming even more important.
