A Chartered Accountant with Harvard, CIA and CFE credentials, I have led audit functions, advised Audit Committees and driven risk-based transformations. I am committed to continuous learning and an active speaker and mentor to young professionals.

What makes you a Risky Woman?

I choose growth over complacency, integrity over convenience and actively manage risks rather than accepting them. I display courage and resilience to challenge the status quo even when it means stepping beyond comfort zones—mine and others’. As a leader and mother, I equally prioritize aspirations and family.

1. Strongly advocating for audit function not only as value provider but also as a partner to drive strategy and growth.
2. The only thing constant in my life is learning. Post having kids I got certifications like CFE, CIA and recently completed Executive Education Program from Harvard Business School in-person.
3. Last but most proud of upbringing 2 independent confident respectful talented kids.

What is the biggest risk you’ve taken in your career?

The greatest risk I have taken in my career has been standing firmly by my ethics and integrity, choosing the right path over the convenient one even when it meant putting my role and position at risk.

What’s something most people don’t know about you?

Outside work, I channel my love for learning into cooking and enjoy unwinding by exploring dance forms like Salsa and Zumba.

What is the best quality for successful leaders in Risk?

The most critical quality for successful leaders in Risk is professional courage grounded in integrity. Beyond identifying risks, effective leaders must be willing to speak up, challenge the status quo, and act on what is right—even when it is uncomfortable or carries consequences. This enables objective judgment, builds credibility with Boards and Audit Committees, and fosters a culture of transparency and accountability. Ultimately, strong risk leaders ensure that risks are proactively addressed rather than quietly accepted, balancing principled decision-making with the ability to influence stakeholders constructively.
