What makes you a Risky Woman?

Her journey includes re-engineering her career to find purpose, after becoming a single parent, and accelerating her rise to senior leadership within the insurance sector. Her unique perspective on governance and risk combines empathy and courage, making her a true trailblazer.

Name your top 3 achievements

  1. Re-engineering my life and career to find purpose and better life outcomes for me and my family as a single parent.
  2. Accelerating my career to become a Manager within Insurance, after entering the area in 2019.
  3. Now choosing a non-linear path to leadership – holding a supporting but influential role in the roll out of the Financial Accountability Regime for Allianz Australia.

What is the biggest risk you’ve taken in your career?

Entered the Insurance field with no prior experience in the area, leaving an established career in Federal Government. Applying for a leadership role in financial services, defying the odds being a woman of CALD background.

What’s something most people don’t know about you?

That I have worked most of my life in public policy advocacy and worked front of lens, but I am an introvert.

What is the best quality for successful leaders in Risk?

Empathy. Languages of love translate to the commercial sphere.
