Baringa Series: When the AI gets it wrong; whose name is on it?
July 14 @ 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm BST

Risky Women, in partnership with Baringa, is proud to invite you to the second session of our exclusive four-part series: “Future Workforce.”
This series is designed specifically for women in the UK GRC community who want to stay ahead of the curve, sharpen their technical edge, and lead their organisations through the next era of digital transformation.
This session will answer both these questions – with evidence, examples, and things you can actually do immediately.
Question 1: When the AI gets it wrong; whose name is on it?
Under SMCR, someone in this room is personally named. The EU AI Act has classified most risk and compliance AI tools as
high-risk systems – meaning mandatory human oversight, audit trails, and explainability requirements that are now law.
Question 2: Are you governing AI or just watching it happen?
Every firm has pilots. Almost none have governance that would survive regulatory scrutiny. The gap between “we have
a framework” and demonstrating meaningful human oversight of a material AI decision is where enforcement will land first.
