Before you dive in, a quick word on why T3 and Risky Women ran this survey: we wanted to take the pulse of risk and compliance practitioners on Responsible AI. This is a pulse, not a census, directionally correct, consistent with global surveys, and grounded in practitioners’ lived reality.
Many told us they feel overwhelmed by the flood of information, so our goal was to cut through the noise.
Key Findings
- No Clear Owner
Almost a third report no owner for AI governance; accountability is fragmented across multiple functions. - Incremental Gains
Almost 90% are positive (or neutral) about AI, citing automation and efficiency but see process improvements, not paradigm shifts. - Training Gap = Compliance Risk
Only 30% have received corporate AI training, while 60% cite lack of skills as the biggest barrier. - Cautious Implementation
More than half are already using AI, mostly via pilots and modular rollouts, but frameworks remain patchy. - Rising Assurance Expectations
74% want benchmarking and 63% independent third-party reviews, echoing regulatory trends.
